A leading asset management firm is seeking a Portfolio Manager to spearhead its Rest of Africa equity strategy. This exciting opportunity is ideal for someone with a passion for emerging markets, a strategic mindset, and a strong background in portfolio management and investment analysis.
In this role, the successful candidate will take responsibility for overseeing a substantial equity portfolio, contributing critical insights that influence sector allocation, and managing a team of analysts and assistant portfolio managers.
Key Duties:

• Manage sector-focused funds to deliver strong returns
• Analyse macro and microeconomic factors and their sector impact
• Conduct in-depth valuations and present investment theses
• Provide high-quality investment reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Design customised financial models and valuation tools
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of investment professionals
• Engage in local and international travel as required

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce,

or Science * 8-10 years of relevant investment industry experience

• 5-10 years' experience in senior management
• FAIS RE05 Certificate
• Postgraduate degree (preferred) in a relevant field
• CFA/SAICA or equivalent qualification (preferred)
• Strong skills in equity valuation, portfolio construction, and risk attribution
• Excellent leadership, analytical and communication abilities
