Polish vehicle panels after spray painting to achieve a smooth, high-gloss finish.
Remove minor paint defects, swirl marks, overspray, cut runs and operate a polishing machine.
Inspect panels for imperfections and correct where possible before delivery.
Maintain the polishing area and equipment in a clean and organised condition.
Work efficiently to meet workshop deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
Assist with minor touch-ups if required.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years polishing experience in a panel beater or auto body repair environment.
Skills:
Knowledge of polishing methods, compounds, and equipment.
Ability to identify surface defects and correct them effectively.
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Physically fit to handle manual tasks.
Other Requirements:
Valid South African ID.
No criminal record (checks will be done).
Valid driver's license (advantageous).
Must reside in or near Johannesburg.
