Job Description

My client, a well-established company based in Blackheath is seeking to employ a Plumber with at least 5 years' experience in a similar position to join their team
The main purpose of this position is to Install, repairs, and maintain water, drainage, and heating systems in residential and commercial buildings.
Requirements:

  • Relevant plumbing qualifications.
  • Minimum 5 (five) years of experience post-graduation in a similar position.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and methodologies.
  • An understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Ability to write clear and precise reports and to relate information in a simple way to a diverse range of people.
  • Computer literate Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with collaboration tools
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Proactive, practical, logical, methodical, resourceful, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Fully Bilingual and excellent verbal and written communication skills and negotiation skills
Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • General plumbing and maintenance.
  • Stock management.
  • Quality Control.
  • Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
  • Water dispensing units and related works
  • Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
  • Follow building plans and blueprints.
  • Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
  • Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems.
  • Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required.
  • Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates.
  • Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed and materials used
