Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Plumber to provide technical support with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, plumbing and fixtures, within the service level requirements.
The primary purpose of a plumber is to install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems to ensure the proper functioning of water supply, drainage, and related fixtures in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks allocated by the Supervisor or Maintenance Planner.
Undertake Re-active Maintenance Tasks and Repairs allocated by the Supervisor or Maintenance Planner.
Ensure that best Operating Practice is applied when undertaking Maintenance Tasks / Repairs, especially of a plumbing nature.
Provide a list of required materials to Supervisor, Maintenance Planner or Stores Administrator to enable successful execution of Maintenance Tasks.
Assist in keeping workshop tidy and presentable.
Complete and issue Check Sheets to Supervisor on a weekly basis.
Plumbers are skilled in installing and connecting pipes, fixtures, valves, and appliances such as sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and irrigation systems. They ensure that these components are correctly fitted, properly sealed, and in compliance with building codes and regulations.
Plumbers diagnose and repair various plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, faulty pipes, or malfunctioning fixtures. They use specialized tools and techniques to identify problems, replace or repair damaged components, and restore the functionality of plumbing systems.
Plumbers are adept at identifying the source of plumbing problems by conducting inspections, conducting tests, and employing their knowledge of plumbing systems. They troubleshoot issues to determine the most effective and efficient solutions.
In addition to working with pipes and fixtures, plumbers are often skilled in pipefitting and welding. They cut, bend, and join pipes, as well as perform welding tasks when necessary for the installation or repair of plumbing systems.
Plumbers adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to ensure that plumbing systems meet standards for health, sanitation, and environmental safety. They make sure that pipes are correctly sealed to prevent leaks, that water pressure is appropriately regulated, and that wastewater is efficiently drained and disposed of.

Plumbing Systems Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, piping, fixtures, valves, pumps, and related components. Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry standards is crucial.
Installation and Repair: Proficient in installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems and fixtures. This includes skills in pipefitting, soldering, welding, and sealing connections. Able to interpret blueprints, follow specifications, and ensure proper alignment and functionality of plumbing installations.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Ability to identify and diagnose plumbing issues, such as leaks, clogs, or faulty components. Skilful in using diagnostic tools, performing tests, and applying logical problem-solving techniques to determine effective solutions.
Safety and Compliance: Committed to following safety protocols and regulations to ensure personal safety and compliance with building codes. Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials, as well as the ability to recognize and address potential safety hazards in plumbing systems.

Qualified as plumber with trade papers.
3-year experience
Good knowledge of plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance
