Responsible for assisting artisans and Supervisors with troubleshooting and handling faults on equipment in Facilities & Utilities Department, buildings maintenance in general
Reduce downtime and ensure normal operation of equipment and general buildings, fence, drains, gates, ablutions, pump houses and wastewater treatment, plumbing, roofs, gutters to be kept in good a state and report to Facilities Supervisor
Perform daily management tasks such as work logs, fault logs, equipment history records, maintenance records, etc. and complete work tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor on time
Identification of potential mechanical failures, i.e. worn bearings and links, and report to supervisor and fitter
To undertake continuous improvement activities and to solve day-to-day issues
To continually promote company philosophies, policies and values and ensure quality requirements are adhered to
Take an active part in identifying and maintaining plant health and safety
Assist in other operations of the department
Assist with contractor's plant walks
Assist with administrative work as requested by Supervisor
Plant Inspections, perimeters, roofs, windows, plumbing, water reticulation
Report on all abnormal situations to Supervisor
Assist with receiving goods and dispatching goods
Workshop/Store management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Qualified and Trade- tested Plumber
3-5 years relevant plumbing experience
Minimum of 5 years' working experience in a factory environment, preferably within an automotive OEM
Knowledge of mechanical principles, including mechanical installation, dismantle and equipment assembly
Valid driver's license
Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
