The purpose of the role is to work collaboratively within the team and across other teams in the business to deliver exceptional customer experiences
Key Responsibilities:
Work alongside architecture, proposition, Subject matter experts (SMEs), and other delivery partners to rationalize, analyze, and transform strategic visions into functional and non-functional requirements with high-level touch points and possible impacts defined
Elicit requirements to understand business opportunities and apply critical and systems thinking skills to assess impacts on our platform, process, and business teams
Analysis of business, system, functional, and non-functional requirements of changes required to existing systems and processes
Provide SME-level insights into front-end, back-end, and other associated applications
Apply SME-level insights into the investment processes
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile information conflicts, break down high-level information into its constituent details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs
Produce high-level scope documents to be consumed by a feature delivery team with the defined business case (opportunity statements, success criteria, and known touchpoints)
Work closely with internal Group-wide teams and external teams, and vendors to deliver a successful outcome
Support and champion the execution of defined features, through consultations and requirements signoff ceremonies
Identify any improvements needed in the business analysis framework and work collaboratively with the BA manager to continually improve the practice
Coaching and mentoring team members and assisting with the onboarding of new members
Coordinate and participate in team-building activities to influence positive morale
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience in delivering exceptional customer service
Experience in solving complex problems for customers
Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams
Experience working in a fast-paced, proactive, and delivery-focused environment
A deep understanding of investment and life products (subject matter expert level)
Implementation experience of large regulatory changes, a distinct advantage
A deep understanding of Sonata is a distinct advantage
An understanding of financial services regulation as it relates to investment platform providers
Understanding or experience creating systems for Financial Advisers
Experience in working with third-party vendors
Experience in building successful relationships and working collaboratively across departmental teams
An agile and inquisitive mindset
At least 10 years of experience in an Investment Platform business, LISP, or similar
Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Visio), with MS Excel at least at an intermediate level
JIRA and Confluence experience
Qualifications:
Relevant Commerce degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Investment Management or Business Management, or related fields
