Job Description
Pyrolysis Plant Operator
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Pyrolysis Plant Operator to run and monitor our tyre and plastic pyrolysis plants. The operator will ensure safe operation, stable production, and good housekeeping.
Responsibilities
Operate and monitor the pyrolysis plant.
Able to read PID's
Check temperature, pressure, feed rate, and equipment condition.
Start-up and shutdown of the plant.
Do basic maintenance (cleaning filters, checking pumps, tightening bolts).
Record daily production and any issues.
Follow safety rules and use PPE at all times.
Keep the plant area clean and organised.
Report faults, leaks, unusual pressure spikes, or abnormal operation.
Minimum Requirements
Matric / Grade 12.
Basic mechanical or factory experience.
Able to read gauges (temperature and pressure).
Able to work shifts and weekends if needed.
Good communication and teamwork.
Must be safety-conscious and reliable.
Added Advantage (Not Required)
N2-N4 Mechanical or Electrical.
Chemical Operations Certificate (NQF 2-4).
Forklift license.
First Aid / Firefighting / SHE Rep.
Experience in manufacturing, recycling, boiler operation, or chemical plants.
Working Conditions
Shift work.
Industrial environment (heat, noise, machinery).
PPE must be worn at all times.
