The Nursery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant nursery, ensuring the business runs efficiently and effectively. He/She will manage staff, coordinate plant production, and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including staff supervision and plant care
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets
- Coordinate plant procurement, propagation, and inventory management
- Ensure nursery maintenance and cleanliness
- Manage budgets and financial planning
- Develop and implement marketing strategies
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations
- Monitor weather conditions and take necessary precautions
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree in Horticulture, Business Management, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in nursery management or related field
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of plant care and nursery operations
- Business management and sales experience
Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: R4500,00 - R10000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal 3950: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
