Plant Manager

Job Description
A top manufacturing and recycling company is seeking an experienced and driven Plant Manager to oversee operations at their dual-site recycling facilities in Midrand. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in production, logistics, and people management, as well as sound working knowledge of SHEQ and labour legislation in a high-output environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily plant operations, including staffing, production, logistics, and maintenance
- Plan and monitor collection schedules, vehicle routing, and stock levels across both sites
- Manage health & safety compliance, statutory checks, and environmental audits
- Ensure productivity targets, sorting quality, and housekeeping standards are consistently met
- Coordinate internal communications, staff performance, IR matters, and training needs
- Ensure cost-effective operation of the plant, asset management, and infrastructure upkeep
- Matric and a Management-related Degree or Diploma
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar operations or plant management role
- Sound understanding of EE, OSH, BCEA, SHEQ, and logistics/production workflows
- Valid Code 8 Driver's Licence
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills
- Able to lead and coordinate large operational teams across two locations
