Job Title:

Plant Industrial Engineer

Location:

Gqeberha

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for analyzing and improving operational performance within the manufacturing operations.

Responsible for identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance productivity and or %OEE.

Responsible to lead 5S Implementation to eliminate waste and improve workplace efficiency.

Responsible to conduct operational analysis and data collection (Time and Method studies) to improve productivity and reduce waste in production.

Support process improvements/optimizations and address out-of-standard conditions.

Support in problem-solving activities, root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions.

Support in the implementation of Lean KPIs and sustainable shopfloor management

According to the work requirements, assist in the bodyshop, painting, assembly, quality and other processes and quality-related work.

Completion of any other tasks assigned by the department head/leader.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering or equivalent

3 years' experience in Industrial Engineering and or Continuous Improvement in an Auto manufacturing environment related management

COMPETENCIES:

Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and conflict management skills

Good communication, planning and organizing skills

Ability to work independently and with own initiative

Lean Manufacturing

Six Sigma Methodologies

Quality Management Systems

Production Planning and Control

Ability to Multitask

Computer literate (MS Office packages)

Code 8 driver's license & own transport essential
