Our client, one of the leading Fintech organisations in Africa, is looking for a PHP Developer to join an inclusive and collaborative team. This full-time PHP Developer role is based in Cape Town and offers a salary of up to R800,000 p/a and excellent benefits. As a PHP Developer, you will be involved in expanding the existing payment platform supporting software and building new and exciting features and applications relating to payments and online commerce security. To give you an idea of how this flexible role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:
  • Support the Technical Manager with development, timeline and architecture decisions
  • Mentor and support the mid-level developers in your team
  • Code review work
  • Maintain and enforce company standards and policies
  • Translate business requirements into detailed designs for implementation
To apply for this PHP Developer role, you will need a number years of PHP / Laravel development experience working with OOP. We also look for the following:
  • Working experience of MVC design patterns
  • Working knowledge of MySQL or MariaDB
  • Knowledge of Front End technologies such as JavaScript, Node, HTML, CSS
  • DevOps experience with tools such as Docker, Git
  • Cloud experience, AWS ideally
