PHOTOSHOP EXPERT (SHORT-TERM CONTRACT)

Location: Cresta / Fourways - Johannesburg

Salary: R8 000 - R15 000 per month

Type: Contract (Short-term, with possibility of extension)

Studio24.7 is seeking a true Photoshop expert -- not just a basic retoucher. We need someone who understands workflow automation, actions, presets, and AI-powered editing at a professional level.

This role is ideal for someone who has mastered Photoshop CC (2023-2025) and can integrate tools like Evoto, Imagine AI, and Photo Mechanic into a high-volume studio workflow.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Advanced editing and creative retouching using Adobe Photoshop CC. Creation, installation, and customization of Actions, LUTs, and Presets (Photoshop, Lightroom, Evoto, Imagine AI). Automation and batch-processing for large-scale image sets. Image culling and tagging using Photo Mechanic or similar software. Integration of AI-based editing tools into photo workflows. High-end skin retouching, tone balancing, and non-destructive editing. Collaboration with photographers and editors to maintain consistent quality and brand look.
REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 5 years professional Photoshop experience with proven portfolio. Deep understanding of Actions, Batch Automation, and Preset Development. Proficiency with Photo Mechanic, Evoto, Imagine AI, Lightroom Classic, and Camera Raw. Strong command of layering, masking, frequency separation, and adjustment layers. Fast, accurate workflow management for large numbers of images. Proven ability to integrate AI tools into editing pipelines.
BONUS SKILLS (ADVANTAGEOUS)

Video editing knowledge (Premiere Pro / After Effects). Understanding of colour profiles for print and web (CMYK vs sRGB). Familiarity with advanced AI creative tools.
CONTRACT DETAILS

Initial 3-month contract with possible extension. On-site position at Studio24.7 (Cresta or Fourways). Remuneration: R8 000 - R15 000 per month depending on experience and output.
