Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing, while providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Key Responsibilities: - Perform venepuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages - Collect and label blood samples accurately and efficiently - Follow established procedures for handling and processing blood samples - Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to infection control protocols - Interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a professional and courteous manner - Address patient concerns and provide reassurance as needed - Maintain accurate records and documentation - Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities - Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a phlebotomy training program - Certification as a Phlebotomist - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
