Job Description


A permanent vacancy exists for a Phlebotomist/ Driver in Paarl for the Donor Division (Grade B5)

Purpose of the Job

  • Screening of Donor
  • Phlebotomy procedure
  • All Donor Attendant duties xe2x80x93 Clinic Reception and Blood Collection
  • Transport staff and equipment safely to and from clinics
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy Techniques
  • 1-2 years Phlebotomy experience is essential
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
  • Previous Blood Transfusion experience would be an added advantage
  • Computer Literate
  • Reliable transport
  • The working hours are variable i.e. shift basis including weekends
  • A code C driverxe2x80x99s licence without endorsements
A combination of the following skills, knowledge and attributes is required:
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Have a friendly disposition and willingness to xe2x80x9cgo the extra milexe2x80x9d
  • Accuracy in data collection
  • Fully multilingual
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Skilled in customer services and the ability to deal with the public
  • Willingness to relocate to Paarl
