Phd Bursary: Geoinformatics (three Years: Fixed Term Contract)

Job Description
- Provide research and technical support to Geoinformatics research projects.
- Collect, capture, process and interpret geospatial data, and make recommendations.
- Engage relevant stakeholders and partners.
- Disseminate research reports through peer-reviewed journal, conferences, and other media.
- Masters in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Environmental Science, or Geography (with Remote Sensing as a major).
- Strong analytical, statistical, and programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or GIS scripting)
- Interest in studying bush encroachment using geospatial techniques.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and motivation to pursue research.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Willingness to travel to remote and rural farming areas
- A valid driver's licence (code 08/EB) will be an added advantage.
