Job Description


One of our clients in the Healthcare Industry is currently looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacogenetics Report Writer to join their team on a contract basis for 3 months. Can be extended based on performance.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate write-ups on recommendations for pharmacogenetic testing and its implications for personalized medicine. Your reports will play a vital role in guiding clinicians and healthcare providers in optimizing drug therapy based on patients' genetic profiles.

The Pharmacogenetics Report Writer plays a pivotal role in translating genetic insights into actionable recommendations for personalized medicine, ensuring that patients receive optimal drug therapy based on their genetic profiles. Strong knowledge of pharmacogenetics, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review pharmacogenetic literature and interpret genetic data accurately.
  • Generate clear and concise reports summarizing the implications of genetic variations on drug metabolism, efficacy, and safety.
  • Provide evidence-based recommendations for personalized medication selection and dosing adjustments.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research and developments in pharmacogenetics to inform report content.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure the effective communication of pharmacogenetic findings.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or masters degree in a relevant field (e.g., genetics, pharmacology, molecular biology).
  • Certification in Pharmacogenomics.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacogenetics principles, including genetic variations, drug metabolism, and pharmacokinetics.
  • Proficiency in literature review and data interpretation and the ability to translate complex genetic information into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey scientific information to a non-specialist audience.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and error-free reports.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple genetic reports.
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals and other team members.
