Pharmacists Students | 2nd and 3rd year or Registered Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistants
Introduction
Various vacancies exist for BPharm Pharmacy Students (in their 2nd and 3rd year of study in 2026) and for Pharmacist Assistants registered as Learner Post Basic in 2026, based at Life St George's Hospital, reporting to Adaire Begley, Senior Pharmacist. The successful candidate(s) will be expected to work evening shifts during the week, and day and evening shifts over weekends.
Critical Outputs

• General housekeeping and administrative tasks in the pharmacy as specified by the pharmacy manager.
• Assist with unpacking of medicines.
• Picking, packing and dispatching of ward orders.
• Assist with cycle counts and stock takes of pharmaceutical stock.
• Assist with the compounding of pharmaceutical preparations.
• Assist with functions in pharmacy according to their scope with SAPC.

Requirements

• Must have passed first & second year B.Pharm degree.
• Must be registered with SA Pharmacy Council as a pharmacy student or as a Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant.
• Must be a South African Citizen.
• The ideal incumbent should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and work well in a team.
• Must be based permanently in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth and have own transport.
