Responsible for supervising pharmaceutical production operations to ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory standards. Oversees daily manufacturing activities, manages staff performance, ensures quality control, and maintains accurate documentation. Works closely with quality assurance and other departments to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production processes.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Training: Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Production Oversight: Monitor daily manufacturing activities, including scheduling, raw material management, and equipment preparation.
Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, conduct quality control checks, and address any deviations promptly.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate batch records, SOPs, and validation protocols; prepare departmental reports as required.
Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational enhancements and implement corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments to align production schedules and resolve any operational issues.
Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 35 years in pharmaceutical manufacturing or quality control, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role.
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cGMP guidelines, FDA regulations, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Leadership Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Analytical Skills: Adept at problem-solving, data analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Additional Desirable Attributes
Certifications: Additional training in GLP, ISO17025, or statistical data analysis is advantageous.
Knowledge: Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain management and experience with inventory control systems.
Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
