Job Summary Objectives: To provide our clients with a safe Pest elimination service. To complete work assignments in a timely and cost-efficient manner. To acquire the necessary knowledge to pass the PCITA Certificate and IPE examinations and to constantly strive to gain additional knowledge about our industry. To represent the company in a polite and pleasant manner. To convey professionalism through personal appearance, the appearance of your equipment and vehicle and the manner in which you carry out your work. To communicate a caring attitude towards your clients. * Untidy appearance i.e., unshaven, dirty long untidy hair, dirty boots etc. are not acceptable. Duties: To liaise with the Service Controller, Lead Technician and Service Manager. To be conversant with, and observe the policies and procedures detailed in the Policies & Procedures Manual. To comply with the company Codes of Practice i.e., the personal rules of conduct, the company rules of conduct, the rules that satisfy the client and the safety codes of conduct. Inspect client''s premises thoroughly for any signs of Pests; find out where they are hiding and where they travel, and where they may be getting in. Carry out the proper treatment for the Pests covered for that client as per the signed service agreement. In the event of finding any other pests Report to the client and to the branch office. If any cleaning or re-stacking or proofing is needed recommend it to the client. Carry out simple proofing measures. Carry out treatments in correct zone number order and follow the procedures laid down for the treatment for new contracts, routine service calls, and complaints. Leave a copy of the signed Service Report with the person to whom you regularly report. Complete the job cards and all other records correctly and at the proper time. Comply with special instructions laid down for certain clients. Ensure that your equipment is clean and well maintained. Ensure that your vehicle is always kept secure, clean, tidy and in roadworthy condition. You need to plan vehicle services as per manufacturer''s specifications well in advance. Tyre pressures are to be checked at least twice monthly. Oil checks are to be carried out on every second tank of fuel. Should you be involved in an accident you will be responsible for the full excess. Should it be proven that you were not responsible for the accident, our insurers will try and claim the excess from the guilty party. As the vehicle is your responsibility you will be fully accountable for it and the contents thereof. Carry an adequate range of pesticides and equipment to complete the week''s work. In the event of you having a store that is used for Company preparations, you must ensure that it is maintained in a secure and weather-proof condition, that preparations are stored correctly, and good stock rotation is practised, and poisons are kept in a securely locked cupboard or box. Report twice per day to your Service Controller. Application to such studies and courses of Training as may be necessary.
