Valid P-number registration with the Department of Agriculture (South Africa)
Proven experience as a Pest Controller or in a similar role
Knowledge of pest control chemicals, methods, and safety procedures
Strong attention to detail
Physically fit and able to work in various environments (indoors, outdoors, confined spaces)
Ability to follow safety and compliance standards strictly
Key Responsibilities
Diarising to ensure monthly services & spraying is done in all buildings
Identify cleanliness issues pertaining to the attraction of pests within the building and surrounding areas, and address the issue with the Cleaning Supervisor to rectify the problem and find a way forward. Bring to the BM & PM attention.
Ensuring the fumigation booth is well manned, and the fumigation process is carried out effectively and efficiently Feedback must be provided once month end is over on how the process was and if any changes need to be made.
Assist staff in identifying filth dwellers who are contributing to pest issues.
Monitoring & ensuring correct usage & quantities of chemicals are used for the treatment of pests.
Liaise with HM to ensure the best, most effective products are sourced to treat & eradicate, if possible, pest issues
Educate tenants on the prevention of pests.
If you have a bed that is infested, you will need to contact the BM and PM- Once the BM and PM finalise a decision, you will then ensure that the bed is removed from the building & axed

Monthly meeting with BM & 2IC
To identify potential and actual pest problems, conduct regular inspections, control the infestation of pests, or eradicate pests all together, if possible
Work directly with tenants & staff to create a healthy, hygienic, pest-free environment.
Use fumigants/chemicals/pesticides/gasses etc.
To treat specific kinds of Pests on a large-scale infestation.
To effectively & consistently control pests within & surrounding areas of the buildings.
