Job Summary

Purpose of the Job:

The Pest Control Officer will inspect premises, advise on possible treatment options and clear the environment from items that could draw pests to the area. The Pest Control Officer will report to the Operations Manager and serve as a member of the Team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Enforce the Companyxe2x80x99s Disciplinary xe2x80x98Code of Conductxe2x80x99
• Ensure Operational excellence in service delivery
• Ensure customer satisfaction across the region
• Inspecting customersxe2x80x99 premises to identify pest problems
• Determining the kind of Pest problem, what treatment is required and advising customers on what kind of pest and treatment

is required to eliminate identified pests

• Communicating with office staff in order to schedule services with customers
• Applying suitable pesticides to infested areas by following the label instructions and complying with safety procedures
• Adjusting chemical mixtures according to the size of the infested areas
• Filling out all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job
• Responding to customers upon completion of service and inform customer of various pest control services offered by Excellerate

Soft Services

• Identifying opportunities to sell additional company services and products
• Find new business

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license
• No less than 1 year pest control experience
• Licensed to perform pest control xe2x80x93 Qualified Pest Control Operator
• Must have a Certificate of Registration at Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries
• Registered in the following fields of Pest Control:

xe2x9exa2 Structural Pest Control (Commercial and Domestic)
xe2x9exa2 Fumigation
xe2x9exa2 Wood Preservation

• Must pass a medical fitness test
• No fear of heights
• The ability to work in all weather conditions
