Job Description

Afrirent Holdings is looking for PPO to provide a professional and physical security service for the Executives of the Afrirent Group including the safe driving of the company vehicle and transportation of Executives to and from the relevant destination at an acceptable risk in accordance with good business practice. The role also entails assessing threats, planning and executing security protocols, managing logistics and reacting effectively to potential security incidents.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Physical Security Services

Conducts regular risk and threat analyses of the entire environment while on duty Renders holistic close protection services to Executives Perform any other duties that may be required to perform by the Office of the Chairperson or Executive from time to time or other. Answers and responds to any relevant alarms and investigates disturbances Performs fire management and detection activities if and when required. Coordinates with the police, fire or relevant emergency department in cases of emergency, such as fire or the presence of unauthorised persons Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorised persons or unusual occurrences.

VIP Driving and Transportation

Drives the allocated vehicle and ensures the safe transportation of the Executive/s to and from designated locations Implements safe driving techniques to all destinations at all times Ensures that the Executive's vehicle is clean and roadworthy at all times, and in accordance with approved SOP's Performs preventative and regular maintenance on the assigned vehicle Maintains accurate vehicle log records in accordance with approved SOP's Conducts vehicle inspections before and after every trip

Risk Assessment and Security Planning

Conducts risk assessments to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities facing Executives in various environments Develops and implement security plans tailored to specific situations, including on-site security, travel arrangements and / or public appearances Manages safe and secure transport arrangements, including route planning and vehicle security checks, to minimize risks during transit Ensure all necessary safety equipment such as communication devices and emergency response kits, are available and operational Briefs Executives on basic emergency protocols and contingency plans for their safety and preparedness

Executive Protection and Surveillance

Provides close protection to Executives, maintaining a discreet but vigilant presence to safeguard against physical threats, harassment, or potential disruptions Conducts surveillance and reconnaissance of locations, identifying potential threats and ensuring optimal security arrangements Escorts Executives during domestic and international travel, ensuring consistent protection from departure to destination[PP1] Maintains confidentiality regarding the identity, routines, and locations of Executives and company operations Exercises discretion at all times, respecting the privacy of employees while maintaining high standards of personal conduct and professionalism

Threat Response and Incident Management

Responds promptly and effectively to security incidents, employing de-escalation and protective measures to ensure the safety of Executives Coordinates with emergency response teams as needed, and ensure protocols are followed during security incidents to prevent harm and ensure safety

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Matric (NQF level 4) PSIRA Grade C 3 years' experience in security / as a Security Officer 1 year experience in close protection / as a VIP Protection Officer Advanced driving knowledge and experience Code 08 Driver's Licence

Pay: R25000,00 - R40000,00 per month
