A large retail group is looking for an energetic, dynamic, and skilled individual to take on the role of

Perishables Supervisor

for a store based in Phoenix.

Purpose:

To effectively supervise the perishables department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervision of department staff; plans and controls daily activities, conducts meetings, and enforces discipline. Buying of products; determines replenishment requirements, negotiates prices with suppliers, and coordinates returns as well as stock rotation. Conducts on-the-job training and coaching of the team by motivating and developing them to achieve objectives and strategies. Product merchandising; allocates space for internal/external merchandisers and checks promotions and pricing of goods. Ensures merchandising standards are maintained and that correct PI labels are displayed on shelves. Controlling shrinkage; ensures stock in the warehouse is at optimum levels and monitors shrinkage. Promotional advertising; purchases additional stock for promotions and coordinates in-store promotional activities. General administration; checks invoice pricing and monitors the rate of sale of products.

Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) At least 1 year's experience as a

Perishables Supervisor

Proficient in MS Office applications
