Job Purpose




The People & Culture Business Partner is a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing strategic and operational HR support that enables organisational effectiveness, employee engagement, and high performance. The role partners with managers and employees to deliver people solutions aligned to the organisation's values, culture, and strategic goals.

Principal Accountabilities



Collaborate with business leaders to identify people's priorities and workforce requirements. Translate business strategy into P&C initiatives that drive talent, culture, and performance. Support organisational change, transformation, and culture-building initiatives. Partner with leaders to forecast talent needs and develop workforce plans. Support recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning. Facilitate performance management, coaching leaders on goal setting, feedback, and development planning. Drive initiatives to improve employee engagement, well-being, and retention. Champion inclusion, diversity, and belonging within teams. Address employee relations matters proactively, ensuring fairness and compliance. Identify skills gaps and partner with the Learning team to deliver targeted development solutions. Support leadership development and capability-building programmes. Encourage a culture of continuous learning. Advise on policies, procedures, and employment legislation, ensuring compliance. Partner with payroll and HR operations teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Use HR data and analytics to guide decision-making and track progress on people's metrics. Act as a role model for the organisation's values. Support change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and employee buy-in. Foster a high-performance and accountable culture.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Development, or related field. 5-8 years' HR experience, with at least 3 years in a business partner or advisory role. Strong knowledge of South African labour law (LRA, BCEA, EEA, BBBEE). Experience in talent management, employee engagement, and change management. Exposure to fast-paced, complex, and unionised environments (advantage).
