Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join the Kirkwood, Eastern Cape team
xc2xb7 Manage and administer day-to-day procedure of the payrolls salaries and wages
xc2xb7 Assist with internal and external audits
xc2xb7 Manage time and attendance as well as biometrics
xc2xb7 Process wages for various payroll frequencies, import hours/allowances, and record earnings/deductions.
xc2xb7 Accurate capturing of all collected payroll data on the payroll system
xc2xb7 Maintain the payroll system, perform required backup according to the schedule required by legislation and the requirements of the company
xc2xb7 Manage all ad-hoc report requests
xc2xb7 Capture all new and terminated employees and maintain employee records
xc2xb7 Apply increases and manage leave and bonus provisions
xc2xb7 UIF administration and Online declarations.
xc2xb7 Supply new employees with all necessary induction documentation - Policies and procedures
xc2xb7 Be aware of any changes in BCEA and Labour Law, and the implementation thereof
xc2xb7 Keep the workforce profile updated for Employment Equity purposes
xc2xb7 Assist the HR Manager with ad-hoc duties
xc2xb7 Drafting of employment contracts
xc2xb7 Resolve payroll discrepancies, stay updated on payroll software, and collaborate with the team to achieve departmental goals.
xc2xb7 Keep payroll documentation and procedures up-to-date.
Requirements
xc2xb7 Grade 12
xc2xb7 Relevant Payroll Qualification.
xc2xb7 5 years proven experience as a Payroll Officer or in a similar role.
xc2xb7 Strong knowledge of Payroll systems.
xc2xb7 Excellent understanding of statutory reporting and tax compliance.
xc2xb7 Strong organizational and time-management skills.
xc2xb7 Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
