Payroll Officer
PAYROLL
- Capture payroll information and ensure data integrity.
- Calculate employee wages, process payroll and handle payroll queries.
- Ensure the correct tax calculations are loaded on the system.
- Ensure the correct clocking records area maintained.
- Reconcile Payroll control accounts.
- Ensure that the correct MEIBC levies are paid.
- Ensure that the statutory payments are processed within set time frames.
HR ADMINISTRATION
- Administer engagements and terminations on the payroll system.
- Maintain employee records.
- Compile monthly reports.
- Administer employee movements, upgrades and leave.
- Handle petty cash
RETIREMENT FUNDS
- Administer retirement fund process and follow up on claims.
- Ensure that monthly benefit reconciliations are performed accurately.
ADVANCES AND LOANS
- Administer employee loans and queries.
WORKMAN COMPENSATION
- Ensures timely processing of workers' compensation claims.
- Responsible for claims monitoring and administration, report generation and communication with
employees.
- Review accident and injury reports and Doctor's First Report of Injury forms to determine proper
actions.
JOB SPECIFICATION:
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- one to two years Diploma payroll related discipline.
- mathematics or accounting skills.
- at least 05 years VIP Payroll experience.
- good interpersonal skills
- excellent computer skills (MS Office)
- proficiency in compiling payroll reports.
- meticulous and assertive.
- strong interpersonal, communication, people and problem solving skills.
- ability to maintain confidentiality.
- prepared to work overtime from time to time, in order to meet group reporting deadlines
