Job Summary
:
Payroll Management:
Oversee end-to-end payroll for a large employee base (2,000+), ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements
Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
Systems Implementation & Integration:
Lead payroll system migrations and upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with HR and Finance systems
Maintain and optimize payroll systems (Sage / VIP)
Develop and manage formulas, variables, and reporting within payroll systems
Compliance & Legislation:
Ensure adherence to SARS regulations, tax codes, and labor legislation
Prepare and submit UIF, PAYE, and Workman's Compensation documentation
Financial Alignment:
Compile payroll journals and ensure accurate allocation in the General Ledger
Support financial audits and provide variance analysis for CFO and finance teams
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison between HR and Finance for payroll-related matters
Provide guidance on leave policies, benefits administration, and compensation trends
Skills & Experience:
10 Years in a senior payroll position
Ability to run multiple payrolls
Ensure compliance
Led a small team of support staff
Qualification:
Specialized Payroll Diplomas or Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management
South African Payroll Association (SAPA) Certification
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
