Payroll Clerk

Job Description
Introduction:
An exciting opportunity has become available at a leading manufacturing group, within their Shared Services Division based in Springs.
We're looking for an experienced Payroll Clerk to ensure payroll data is captured accurately, employees are paid timeously, and payslips are distributed weekly and monthly.
This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, process-driven, and thrives in a high-volume payroll environment.
What You'll Need
- A Payroll Diploma or Certificate (advantageous)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in payroll administration
- Experience processing payrolls for 1,500+ employees
- Solid understanding of payroll legislation, tax, and statutory requirements
- Experience with JD Edwards and Educos systems (beneficial)
- Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Collect, calculate, and capture payroll data accurately and on time
- Ensure payroll processes and company policies are strictly followed
- Maintain and update employee records in the payroll system
- Resolve first-line payroll queries and footprint cases within SLA
- Maintain filing and administrative systems
- Print and distribute payslips on a weekly and monthly basis
- Capture leave forms and perform regular leave audits
- Participate in shared services projects as needed
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and departments
- Ensure full compliance with the company's delegation of authority
