All HR related matters including, but not limited to:
- Updating of employee records and files for all new employees hired ensuring all relevant documentation (proof of identification, valid proof of bank account in the name of the employee, valid SARS income tax number, valid work permit where applicable) is received and in order.
- Loading of new employees on Micros and payroll software after valid documentation has been obtained.
- Ensuring all new employees is provided with a contract and that a signed copy is on file.
- Record-keeping of all HR and payroll records in accordance with applicable Labour Law such as sick leave, annual leave, family responsibility leave, suspension and terminations.
- Assist with issuance of disciplinary procedure letters to employees.
- Liaise with third party service provider on all disciplinary matters of employees.
- Ensure proper documentation of all terminations and resignations in accordance with the Labour Law.
- All other labour and payroll related matters including WCEA, Department of Labour & Department of Home Affairs compliance.
Payroll records and payment of employees.
- You will be responsible for the payment of all employees by the determined dates for four entities in our group of restaurants.
The payment of employees will require the following.
- Daily check of hours for all employees and adjustment to correct hours where employees did not clock in or out, in accordance with company policies.
- Bi-weekly payment of tips for the 16th - 30th/31st of each month on the 10th of the following month.
- Monthly payment of salaries and wages which includes the second bi-weekly payment of tips.
- Full management and reconciliation of all income and deductions for monthly payroll including insurance of all paperwork relating thereto.
