to manage end-to-end payroll processing for a wage-based workforce governed by the
Furniture Bargaining Council (FBC)
. This role is
critical
to ensuring the accurate application of FBC rules, including wage structures, benefits, deductions, and overtime allowances. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full payroll function including time and attendance, wage input, and statutory compliance.
This is a full-time, on-site position offering a
salary of R30 000 CTC per month
.
Only candidates with experience in the Furniture Bargaining Council payroll environment will be considered.

Minimum Requirements
Education & Training:
Matric / Grade 12 - mandatory* Payroll Administration or HR Certificate/Diploma - advantageous* Training or certification in SAGE 300 People - strongly preferred*
Experience:
Minimum 3-5 years of payroll administration experience, specifically in:
+ Wage payroll processing
+ Furniture Bargaining Council rules and application - non-negotiable Proven experience in:
+ SAGE 300 People
+ Time & Attendance systems
+ Working in a manufacturing or factory environment
Technical Skills:
Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
Excellent understanding of South African payroll legislation (UIF, PAYE, SDL)
Strong reconciliation and reporting skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Time and Attendance Management
Review and manage the submission of daily departmental timesheets.
Communicate with department managers to authorize and sign off timesheets.
Capture all leave records in the Time and Attendance system and ensure accurate syncing with SAGE 300.
Implement and maintain T&A systems and conduct spot-checks for accuracy.
Ensure TES (Labour Broker) timesheets are submitted and processed on time.
Generate and distribute daily late-coming reports to managers and HR.
Payroll Processing
Import hours and process manual adjustments as per authorised instructions.
Capture and process payroll data including leave, sick notes, banking details, and allowances.
Apply all
Furniture Bargaining Council
rules accurately (e.g. wages, overtime, levies, union deductions).
Reconcile payroll reports and ensure accurate payroll packs for audit readiness.
Submit payroll runs to Supervisor for review and finalisation.
Prepare EFT payments and requisitions for approval.
Assist employees with payroll queries related to leave, earnings, and deductions.
Month-End and Compliance
Prepare 3rd-party and garnishee schedules.
Process employee terminations and relevant UIF documentation (e.g. UI-19).
Ensure all payroll documentation is filed accurately and securely.
Distribute IRP5s, holiday pay and provident fund bonus statements.
Reporting and Analysis
Provide weekly overtime reports in line with FBC Collective Agreement.
Prepare and submit monthly absenteeism and leave reports.
* Generate ad hoc reports for HR, Payroll, and Operations Managers.
