Our client, an ultra-luxury safari lodge in the Eastern Cape, is building a fully off-the-grid, green kitchen from the ground up where fine dining meets sustainability, local culture, and conscious living. We are seeking a creative, Pastry Chef who thrives in a guest-focused, refined environment and embraces remote lodge life. The right person brings garden-to-table curiosity, strong food and wine awareness, and genuine ease with daily guest interaction. If shaping a modern, sense-of-place pastry program in a truly unique setting excites you, we would love to connect. :  Recognised culinary or pastry qualification  Proven Pastry Chef background of at least 5 years in fine dining, ultra-luxury lodges, or high-end boutique hotel  Up to date on global pastry trends and techniques  Strong hygiene discipline, equipment care, and kitchen safety know-how  Professional presentation, physical stamina, and uncompromising standards  Confident, warm communicator; comfortable engaging with guests daily  Solid admin skills including costings, ordering, menu planning, HR basics, tidy documentation  Creative menu development that champions sustainability and zero-waste principles  Eager to help build and maintain on-site gardens; integrate fresh produce daily  Aligned with a farm-to-table meets urban-refinement food philosophy  Stable career history with contactable references  - R22k, live in ??  ???? - Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
