Pastry Chef - Cape TownJob SummaryOur client requires a passionate Pastry Chef to join their bakery team.The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:Daily running and overseeing of all pastry preparations.Work closely with the Head Chef to create innovative desserts, pastries and confectionery items.Continuously explore new techniques, flavours and trends in pastry-making to keep the menu fresh and exciting.Staff management.Inventory and stock management.Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:Degree or diploma in culinary arts.Minimum 4 years' experience in a similar position.Minimum 1 years' experience in a senior role.An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionery techniques and trends.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to function as part of a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines.Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays.Own transport.
