Job Purpose

• The purpose of this vacancy is to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach in the field of Creative Arts in the Diploma in Education, Grade R programme on the Wellington Campus (not exceeding 24 hours per month at a rate of R275 per hour)
• Please Note: The Teacher Education programme at our Wellington Campus is taught in Afrikaans. Except for lecturers who teach languages other than Afrikaans, lecturers need to be able to teach/lecture in Afrikaans

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• A relevant Masterxe2x80x99s degree and/or B Ed Honours-degree relevant the teaching of Creative Art on the Diploma in Education: Grade R.
• A relevant teaching qualification
• At least two (2) relevant lecturing experience at tertiary level in Foundation Phase or Early Childhood Education or five (5) relevant teaching experience at Foundation Phase or Early Childhood level at school level
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans

Recommendations:

• Exposure to academic teaching methodology at Foundation Phase or Early Childhood level
• Evidence of competence in research
