Job Description

Reporting to the Team Leader Competence Centre Parts, the Parts Purchaser assists within the parts department with administrative, procurement, local sourcing and expediting all purchasing tasks for MCC parts business.

Key Performance Areas

? Ensuring all EDI delivery dates are captured correctly on open Purchase Orders

? Keep Record of ETA, ETD, liaising with shipping departments both Company and External Suppliers to ensure goods are received within time.

Primary Responsibilities

(but not limited to)

? General office duties and administration

? Assisting in the resolution of queries regarding stock orders

? Sourcing and negotiating with local suppliers for the procurement of local goods

? Handling of day-to-day purchase requests for spare parts

? Processing and submitting factory purchase orders

? Ensuring all documentation and information required for goods being exported is received by the shipping department in a timely manner.

? Ensuring all purchase orders on the system are current and the clearing of invalid or expired lines

? Parts coding (New, Obsolete, Replacement) and keeping it up to date for local and Affiliates.

? Ensuring the EDI Dates supplied by the factories are correctly captured in the order lines

? Expediting open purchase orders and key advisor to parts sales team regarding delivery schedules and ETA's

? Processing Local and Affiliate orders received from the relevant Parts Coordinators.

? Conduct market research to identify parts and materials that can be sourced locally.

? Analyze the current supply chain to identify potential areas for local sourcing.

Education & Years of experience

- Minimum 1-2 years' related experience with a relevant Diploma
