Job Summary
Our Client in the Financial Service Industry, based in Tyger Waterfront Bellville is looking to employ a Paraplanner to their team.
Minimum Requirements:

  • NQF Level 5 qualification (minimum), or relevant degree or diploma in Financial Planning, Investment, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Financial Planning practice.
Solid understanding of:
Financial Planning principles: Estate, Retirement, Risk (Long-term), and Tax Planning
Financial products: Unit Trusts, Endowments, Annuities, Insurance, etc.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans (written and spoken).
Knowledge of Astute, Elite Wealth system, and NinetyOne investment platform will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning Support:
Prepare and formulate financial, investment, retirement, and risk plans based on adviser strategy and client needs.
Ensure plans and documents are compliant with legislation and company policies.
Conduct research and analysis of investment products and solutions.
Client Data and Documentation:
Gather and analyze client data, including insurance policies and investments.
Prepare proposals, statements of advice, and client application packs.
Assist with investment applications, switches, transfers, and documentation for client meetings.
Portfolio and Compliance Management:
Manage and monitor client portfolios.
Track investment performance and create review reports.
Ensure all client documentation and compliance records are up to date.
Risk and Insurance Analysis:
Conduct insurance reviews and needs analysis.
Draw and compare insurance quotes and prepare product comparisons.
Prepare advice documentation for risk product recommendations.
Estate Planning Support:
Assist with drafting Wills and providing estate planning input.
Client Relationship and Administrative Support:
Respond to client queries professionally and timeously.
Maintain client records and handle documentation for new accounts and fund transfers.
Provide general support to all planners and managers as needed.
Assist in client meetings and take minutes/actions when required.
Be proactive and committed to maintaining the highest standards of support and compliance.
