Palliative Care Nurse - Johannesburg (Travel Required)
Purpose:
Provide compassionate, holistic, and patient-centered care to improve the quality of life for individuals in the palliative stage, supporting both patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage pain effectively.
Administer medications (including syringe drivers and IV therapies).
Manage symptoms such as nausea, dyspnoea, delirium, and wound care.
Deliver care during the terminal phase, ensuring dignity and comfort.
Support psychosocial and spiritual needs of patients and families.
Educate and empower families throughout illness and bereavement.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform clinical procedures (injections, IV cannulation, bowel management).
Advocate for ethical, patient-centered palliative care practices.

Requirements:
Nursing Degree/Diploma + HPCSA registration.
Introductory palliative care training (min. 5 days).

Computer literacy, valid driver's license, own transport.
