Paediatric Registered Nurse, Bryanston, Gauteng (effective 1st March 2024)

Our client a paediatrician is seeking to recruit a full time or part-time Registered Nurse for a new opening practice in Bryanston, Gauteng.

Given the sensitivity of this role, the candidate needs to be empathetic, kind and patient centred person.

Requirements:

• Schedule follow-up patient appointments
• Phlebotomy service
• Vaccinations
• Assist patients in a paediatric practice and hospital environment
• Conduct new born visits in hospital
• Conduct baby wellness visits
• Lung function testing
• Control stock supply
• Assess and monitor patient conditions, medical situations and vital signs as needed
• Accurate clinical evaluation of patient complaints, including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment
• Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments
• Maintain accurate reporting and record keeping
• Deliver appropriate information to healthcare users in a manner that is sensitive to their conditions and level of understanding
• Explain the potential side effects of medication and provide patients with information and advice on prescribed medication
• Obtaining a patient history and performing physical examinations
• Interpreting findings and formulating a diagnosis for common and emergency conditions

Qualification:

• Relevant Nursing qualification (BCur / Diploma)
• Minimum 5 years' experience as Paediatric Registered nurse
• SANC registered

Working hours:

• Monday to Friday from 08h00 17h00 with weekend hours as and when required
