We are looking to employ an experienced, hard-working and capable artisan in the role of senior service technician involved in the installation, maintenance & servicing of end-of-line packaging machinery for food and beverage companies. This position is based at

The successful candidate must have

:

National Senior Certificate Minimum required qualification: Electrician/Millwright/Fitter (Trade Tested) 8 - 10 years' experience working on packaging equipment in a food and beverage environment Excellent knowledge & experience of can seamers in the food & beverage industry Have strong electrical experience Excellent computer skills A service driven approach to dealing with customers and maintaining customer relationships Able to cope under pressure and respond quickly to customer requests A professional manner, with excellent interpersonal & communication skills Fluent in English and Afrikaans Presentable and confident to deal directly with customers Flexible and willing to work longer hours when required Willing to travel Driver's license

The primary tasks include

:

Installation & commissioning of end-of-line packaging equipment Repairs, maintenance & fault-finding on equipment Manage all maintenance parts Deal directly with overseas suppliers Communicate directly with customers Provide training for technicians & staff in customer's factories Travel to customer sites for installations, maintenance and breakdowns Audit equipment
