Introduction
We are looking for an experienced Senior Designer in the Beauty field to work across some our well-known Beauty brands, like Sorbet, Smudge, our sustainable My Earth brand and other key priority projects. An excellent eye for trends on design, competitor know how and conceptualisation across the Beauty platform is key. Strong idea generation and ability to see concept through to in-store and above the line platforms, brining innovation to your design proposal, is a must. A proven track experience in the field is essential. This role will report into the Marketing Creative Manager and will be based at Clicks Head Office.
Job description

Job Purpose:

• Drive and elevate the brands with great conceptual thinking and output abilities
• Deliver the best creative solutions for in-store and print material.
• Conceptualise 360 campaigns and design with all creative touch points in mind
• This role includes work on other Clicks brand and marketing material, design campaigns, press ads and other brands that need development, roll-out and presentations.

Job Objectives:

• To interpret briefs from marketing and the buying teams to best creative solutions
• Conceptualisation and brainstorming of new campaigns
• Create outstanding design ideas, layouts, POS design innovation and implementation of design into solutions, & repro of own work
• Roll out conceptual campaigns across print, POS (point of sale) and digital
• Adhere to all brand guidelines and CI
• Know how and abreast of competitor retail trends focussing in the Beauty sector
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to co-create in the Beauty space
• Immaculate attention to detail and ability to problem solve and Multitask in a competitive retail environment
• To efficiently manage and check own artwork
• To participate in brainstorming sessions across the department
• Assist with ad hoc presentation files

Minimum requirements

Education:

• A degree or diploma in graphic design

Job-related knowledge:

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

Job-related skills:

• Strong conceptualising & layout skills
• Art direction, arranging and supervising of photoshoots both with products and models
• On top of trends in the industry and ability to translate the brand/trends across print and digital media to make it relevant
• Keen presentation skills
• Fast & efficient with a strong design flair
• Team player willing to help out when needed

Job-related experience:

• 5 yearsxe2x80x99 design experience within an relevant agency
• Beauty branding experience, i.e. previous work on a beauty brand
• Layout and POS design experience beneficial
