A Sales Support role plays a crucial part in assisting the sales team and ensuring the smooth operation of sales processes within a company. The primary focus of a Sales Support professional is to provide administrative and operational support to the sales team, enabling them to focus on building and maintaining client relationships and driving sales revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Processing: Accurately process sales orders, quotes, and request invoicing in a timely manner, ensuring that all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with company policies.
  • Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries and provide product information and support to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Reporting: Generate and analyse sales queries and data to provide insights for the sales team and management, contributing to the development of sales strategies and forecasts.
  • CRM Management: Maintain and update the company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring that all customer information and interactions are
accurately recorded and accessible to the sales team.
  • Sales Team Coordination: Collaborate with the sales team and other departments, such as marketing, logistics, and to facilitate a seamless sales process.
  • Lead Generation: Support lead generation activities by identifying potential customers through research and data analysing and cold calling clients existing clients to keep up with their needs.
Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, including maintaining sales records, scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling travel arrangements for the sales team.

Desired skill requirements:
  • Sales and Customer Service Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective customer interactions and resolving inquiries or issues.
  • Organizational Skills: The ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is crucial.
  • Computer Proficiency: Proficiency in using MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM software.
  • Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail is necessary for accurate data entry, order processing, and generating sales reports.
  • Team Player: Collaboration and the ability to work well within a team are essential for coordinating with various departments and supporting the sales team effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: The capability to identify challenges and provide solutions to improve sales processes and customer experiences.
