How you'll role
The Outbound Logistics Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Transit Bay Warehouse. This vital role involves managing inventory, ensuring the smooth dispatch and delivery of goods, supervising warehouse staff, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses strong leadership skills to effectively manage and optimize warehouse processes.
What you'll do

• Supervise warehouse staff and daily activities

• Evaluate and report on warehouse productivity and efficiency

• Coordinate receipt, storage, packing, and timely Inter-Branch Transfers (IBTs) of goods

• Ensure compliance with site health and safety regulations

• Regularly inspect FG Transit warehouse and ensure all shipments are secure

• Liaise with operations department to manage stock quantities from production

• Maintain partnerships with outbound domestic carriers

• Support logistics staff across other locations

• Plan for logistics preparedness through contingency planning

• Manage stock loading, monitoring, and handle product diversions and returns

• Schedule and plan deliveries and loading as per planning department schedules

• Ensure all dispatches leave with appropriate documentation and QA releases

What you'll need

• Minimum National Certificate / National Senior Certificate required

• At least 5 years' experience in warehousing at a supervisory level

• Relevant tertiary qualification

• Experience in FMCG, Manufacturing, and Warehousing sectors essential

• Full knowledge of global standards for warehousing and dispatching of goods

• Proficient understanding of risk, business processes, and controls

• Excellent leadership and coaching skills

• Familiarity with FIFO strategies and warehousing software like SAGE
