Ordering Clerk (purchasing)

Job Description

Ordering clerk (in the construction / building industry)
The suitable candidate will work in with the company's purchasing department by performing the following duties:

  • Perform tasks related to ordering of required materials
  • Follow up on orders (ensuring delivery thereof)
  • Receive building materials from suppliers
  • Book building material out to various building sites
  • Complete relevant order documents (Process/ tend to any queries timeously and accurately)
  • Stock control & handling all admin related to stock returns
  • Assist with sourcing various pricing from suppliers
  • Update all necessary admin spreadsheets and systems
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in the industry
  • Computer Literacy: Pastel sage, MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good administrative skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good knowledge of building materials would be advantageous
