The Telecommunications Ordering and Provisioning Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end management of customer service orders. This includes receiving and processing new orders, as well as handling modifications, upgrades, and disconnections for existing services. This role serves as the central point of coordination between customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.
Responsibilities
Order processing: Process and manage service orders from initial request to completion, ensuring all details are captured accurately in the order management and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.Supplier coordination: Liaise directly with third-party carriers and suppliers to place and track orders for services such as voice lines (PSTN, SIP), broadband, and Ethernet circuits.
Customer communication:
Act as a primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates on the status of their service orders and addressing any queries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.Problem resolution: Investigate and resolve issues that arise during the provisioning process, escalating complex problems to the appropriate technical teams or management when necessary.Data integrity: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all provisioning activities, configurations, and customer interactions to ensure compliance and proper billing.
System management:
Utilize and update internal systems and third-party portals with real-time order progress to ensure all stakeholders have access to the latest information.Quality assurance: Conduct quality checks on provisioned services to verify they meet specified standards and customer requirements before finalizing the order.
Qualifications (not limited to)
Previous experience in a provisioning, coordination, or customer service role within the telecommunications or ISP industry is preferred. Familiarity with various voice and data technologies (e.g., SIP, PSTN, broadband, Ethernet) is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience with CRM or order management systems.
