Analyse and interpret data stored in Oracle databases to provide insights for decision-making and business process improvement.
Design and develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyse data efficiently.
Create reports, dashboards, and visualisations using tools such as Oracle BI and Power BI.
Perform data profiling to understand data structures, relationships, and patterns.
Conduct data cleansing and quality assessments to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation for queries, reports, dashboards, and data processes.
Optimise SQL queries for performance improvements in large datasets.
Work closely with database administrators to ensure database integrity, security, and availability.
Support ad-hoc data analysis requests and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy regulations, and organisational standards.
Participate in testing and validation of new data sources, processes, and reports.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
3-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or higher in an ICT-related field (e.g., Computer Science or Information Technology).
Oracle certification is an added advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
Experience with Oracle Database technologies and data analysis tools.
Proficiency in Oracle BI, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms.
