Summary
Our client, a thriving optometry practice located in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and professional Optometrist to join their dynamic team.
The successful candidate will not only provide high-quality eye testing but will also play an active role in the overall running of the practice. This includes assisting front staff with dispensing, guiding patients in frame choices, and ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for all.
Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 09h00 - 17h00
• Three Saturdays per month (with one Saturday off)
• A half-day off during the week (Wednesdays) for each Saturday worked

This is an exciting opportunity for an Optometrist who enjoys a mix of clinical and practice management responsibilities while working in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Description

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribing appropriate treatments or referrals
• Provide expert advice on eyewear selection, lens options, and contact lenses
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Stay updated with the latest advancements and developments in optometry

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in Afrikaans is essential

• Optometry Degree
• HPCSA Registration
• Updated CPD Points
• Passionate about providing exceptional eye care services and ensuring customer satisfaction
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
• Strong clinical skills and the ability to conduct thorough eye examinations
• Proactive and self-motivated with a desire to contribute to the growth of the practice
• Open to both newly qualified and experienced Optometrists.
• Valid Driver's License
