Job Description


A vacancy exists in the Operations Department for 2 x Operations Trainer. Reporting to the People Capability Leader, the Operations Trainer is responsible for supporting line operations in an area/region, to improve the operational performance of all restaurant level employees. The Operations Trainer serves as area/regional training liaison between the Training/HR Manager and area/region operations. This position is responsible for selection, management, and development of Training Captains and is also responsible for all management training and workshops for all restaurant employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and maintain all Training & Development requirements to ensure a xe2x80x98One Systemxe2x80x99 approach.
  • Serves as key training liaison between HR/Training Manager and Area/Region on issues such as new product roll-out, workshops, DC requirements etc.
  • Recruits, trains, coach and certify Skills Trainers.
  • Ensures management training is done to support Restaurant General Manager bench.
  • Conducts DC classroom training for Management Trainees.
  • Conducts workshops for all employees i.e. CHAMPS, HWWTxc2xb2, Customer Mania, HIV/Aids etc.
  • Conducts Orientation classroom training for all employees.
  • Conducts Field follow-up and evaluation of all Manager Trainees during their training and orientation period.
  • Assists Area Coaches in certifying all RGMxe2x80x99s, RMxe2x80x99s and Shift Supervisors on CSTM, FSTM and DC.
  • Assists Area Coaches in training evaluations to assess the retention of knowledge. Annual assessments for all employees must be done to re-assess knowledge i.e. CSTM, FSTM and/or DC training.
  • In conjunction with the Area Coach conducts training for RGMxe2x80x99s on all new products and concepts.
  • Assesses additional training needs of area/region and discuss with the Training/HR Manager.
  • Responsible for delivery of training modules to bridge performance gaps.
  • Knowledge of KFC operations.
  • Excellent presentation and written & oral communication skills required.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver effective oral/written presentations.
  • Incumbent must possess an understanding of the learning process as applied to both formal classroom instruction and in-store training.
  • Knowledge of interviewing/selection skills required.
  • Ability to handle participative training techniques as used in KFC system.
  • At least 6 months in a management position
  • Must be RGM or LAR2 Certified
  • Driverxe2x80x99s license would also be to your advantage
