George Lodge is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic
Operations Support Assistant
to join our team. This all-rounder role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a structured hospitality environment, and is eager to grow through hands-on experience. You will support the Duty Manager and General Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth and friendly service across all guest touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Breakfast Support
Welcome and assist guests at breakfast, take orders, and ensure quality service.
Provide friendly front-of-house support when needed.
Step in to help with basic guest queries and assist during peak periods.
Operational Assistance
Support managers in various operational tasks throughout the day.
Help with errands such as collecting stock or supplies in town.
Assist during conferences and group check-ins.
Assist with filing and stock counting
Team Support
Work closely with housekeeping and kitchen teams to support smooth daily operations.
Provide backup assistance for reception when trained to do so.
Assist with setup, takedown, and transitions during guest events.
Health, Safety & Cleanliness
Promote a safe, clean, and organized environment throughout the property.
Follow health and hygiene protocols during breakfast service and daily duties.
Requirements
Valid South African driver's license (essential).
Able to work every second weekend and on flexible schedules.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Previous hospitality or customer service experience (advantageous).
Team player with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
