Requirements:

Matric
MBA
Masters in Chemical Engineering
Degree in Operations Management or related field
A minimum of 8 10 years proven experience as an Operations plant manager in a production/manufacturing environment
Sound/good technical knowledge
Extensive knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
Project management skills
Business negotiation skills

Duties:

Formulate strategic and operational objectives.
Ensure Lean continuous improvements in production (Lean & Six sigma)
Ensure all plant operations are implemented in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.
Examine production plans and ensure they align to the sales plans.
Improve operational management systems, processes, and apply best practice methods.
Develop operational systems and procedures to ensure productivity and continuous growth.
Monitoring and reporting on OEE, performance and costs
Achieve operations labour budget expectations.
Ensuring product quality and production efficiency
Drive compliance with company safety, health, environment, risk, and quality standards
Mentor/Develop a high performing and committed production team.
