OPERATIONS MANAGER The successful applicant is required to perform the following key functions, amongst other duties
- Manage day-to-day operations, including water treatment and distribution, wastewater management, and maintenance.
- Responsible for training and development of Operations staff.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Improve service delivery in water and sanitation activities.
- Manage the operations budget.
- Manage and maintain effective working relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the operations team.
- A bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Civil). Being a professionally registered engineer will be an added advantage.
- At least 10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in water and sanitation industry, of which 5 years must be at senior management level.
- Proven experience in operations management in the water and sanitation industry.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations.
- In depth knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including hydraulic water treatment, pumping, storage systems and wastewater treatments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Adept at managing teams and resources efficiently.
