Requirements:

• Must possess a Construction qualification with three years relevant experience in a similar role.
• QS Costing Background essential.
• Must be able to effectively manage projects and construction sites.
• Extensive knowledge of building and construction.
• Must have a proven track record of achieving deadlines and excellent time management.
• Drivers License essential.

Responsibilities:
Project Management:

• Attend pre-construction meetings.
• Conduct risk assessments on project site.
• Inspect draught copy of the construction drawings and ensure understanding.
• Evaluate performance and timeline of the project weekly and plan accordingly.
• Implement quality control and inspecting of completed work.
• Assist Director with final handover of final product.
• Overseeing and assisting with Carpentry duties, such as: Roofing, Ceilings, Skirtings, Shuttering, Flooring, and working out material lists for jobs.
• Undertake and assist with Plumbing and Waterproofing.
• Meet with Clients, Architects and Engineers on site in a professional manner and provide feedback to the Director.

Sub-Contractor Management:

• Oversee all sub-contractor work and ensure work is executed according to the plans, details, specifications and to the expected quality.
• Measure, review and complete the prescribed interim and final valuation sheets for sub-contractor payments.

Resource Management:

• Ensure that tools and stock needed for the site/ project is available and kept safe, and in good condition.
• Complete stock order for finance department.
• Keep track of stock ordered and stock delivered to site.
• Receiving of stock, ensuring the quantities and quality are up to standard, and reporting any discrepancies.
• Control of vehicle services and drivers.
• Responsible for staff management in every aspect, both permanent and casual staff members.
• Responsible for Health and Safety by following strict safety guidelines.
